Paul Ulbrick, Partner

Co-founder of Metroline Research Group, Paul has more than 15 years experience in the marketing research industry.

His role at Metroline includes managing qualitative and quantitative research as Director of Operations.

Paul brings a unique perspective to all projects. His business acumen makes him a valuable asset to any research team.

Paul was born and schooled in Toronto. Similar to Dave, Paul graduated from the Honours Business Marketing program at George Brown College, with a minor in Finance.

Married with two children, Paul spends much of his free time letting people shoot pucks at him.

Mike Lachapelle, National Field Manager

An integral part of Metroline for over 10 years, Mike brings youthful enthusiasm and dedication to all job functions.

Mike’s role includes managing the quality control and administration of both qualitative and quantitative research, and supervision of our Kitchener call centre and associated field services.

A Sudbury native, Mike graduated from Business Management at Cambrian College in Sudbury.

Married with four children, you will probably find him either at work or carpooling.

Krista Posliff, Facilities Manager

Since taking on the role of Facilities Manager in 2005, Krista has concerned herself with fostering positive relationships with clients.

With strong organizational skills developed during her time in retail management and previous positions at Metroline, Krista expertly coordinates our three busy focus group facilities.

Krista graduated from the Business Administration program at Conestoga College in Kitchener. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and visiting with friends.

Dave Kains, CMRP, Partner

Dave Kains has been practicing the art and science of marketing research for more than 25 years.

Dave worked for 8 years as a consultant, and later Vice-President of Focus Canada, a Toronto market research firm. During this time he was actively involved in executing large qualitative and quantitative research studies involving new product development, advertising and product testing.

Dave has worked with large multi-national brands and companies – as a focus group moderator, quantitative analyst, and strategic partner. This work has taken him to markets across North America.

At Metroline, Dave has consulted on public policy and planning for municipal and regional governments in Ontario, assisted with brand development and communications strategies for corporate clients, and contributed his insight to the evolution of innovative new sections or products for various print publications.

A member of the Marketing Research Industry Association (MRIA), Dave is a past chair of the Qualitative Research Division, and has achieved professional designation as a Certified Market Research Professional (CMRP).

Graduated from the Honours Marketing program at George Brown College, with a minor in Psychology and Human Behaviour.

Dave is a devoted family man, married with three kids, who enjoys the outdoors and knows his way around a BBQ.

Toronto Facilities

Metroline opened their Toronto operation in mid-town Toronto near Yonge & Eglinton in 1998. We moved to new space in September, 2008.

Our facilities are centrally and conveniently located on the south-east corner of Redpath and Eglinton, just east of Yonge Street.

The management team has a great deal of experience, providing you with superior customer service and the best experience possible.

Our Toronto office has two facilities:

• The Redpath Room – a full-size boardroom and large viewing room
• The Studio – a less formal room designed for depth interviews, pairs or triads

In this facility you will find:

• Bright rooms with plenty of natural light
• Recording to DVD and digital audio (mp3)
• Flat screen TV – playback on DVD or hook up your computer
• Display shelves, pin-up boards
