Dave Kains, co-founder of Metroline Research Group,  has been practicing the art and science of marketing research for 35 years.


Always curious, Dave is passionate about the world of marketing research,  exploring concepts, new ideas, and underlying motivation in the minds of consumers.


Dave has years of experience working with municipal and regional governments across Canada.  He has helped with public policy, strategic planning and communications in areas related Citizen Satisfaction, , public utilities, and sustainability (waste management, water efficiency).  Additionally, consulting for private sector companies and brands in strategic planning, brand development, product testing, user experience and communications.

A member of the Marketing Research Industry Association (MRIA) and the Qualitative Research Consultants of America (QRCA).   Recently, he served as the co-chair of the Digital Experience Team for the 2021 QRCA Annual Conference, when the team had to pivot from an in-person to virtual event.


Dave has achieved professional designation as a Certified Market Research Professional (CMRP).   He is a regular speaker about marketing research and marketing communications, particularly in the area of sustainability policy.
