Dave Kains has been practicing the art and science of marketing research for more than 25 years.

Dave worked for 8 years as a consultant, and later Vice-President of Focus Canada, a Toronto market research firm. During this time he was actively involved in executing large qualitative and quantitative research studies involving new product development, advertising and product testing.

Dave has worked with large multi-national brands and companies – as a focus group moderator, quantitative analyst, and strategic partner. This work has taken him to markets across North America.

At Metroline, Dave has consulted on public policy and planning for municipal and regional governments in Ontario, assisted with brand development and communications strategies for corporate clients, and contributed his insight to the evolution of innovative new sections or products for various print publications.

A member of the Marketing Research Industry Association (MRIA), Dave is a past chair of the Qualitative Research Division, and has achieved professional designation as a Certified Market Research Professional (CMRP).

Graduated from the Honours Marketing program at George Brown College, with a minor in Psychology and Human Behaviour.

Dave is a devoted family man, married with three kids, who enjoys the outdoors and knows his way around a BBQ.
